INCTR is an NGO in
official relations with WHO

The mission of the office is to build capacity for high quality cancer treatment and research in Tanzania. The current activities include an early detection program for cervical cancer, conducted in collaboration with IARC, the establishment of a population based cancer registry, participation in a cooperative clinical study of the treatment of Burkitt lymphoma with other sub-Saharan African countries, and education and training of medical staff in cancer care. The office is also involved in coordinating projects to expand access to treatment for Burkitt lymphoma and to palliative care within Tanzania.
