Open Education for Resources for Cancer (OERC)
The purpose of OERC is to create and make freely available educational materials related to cancer control, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care to health care professionals in developing countries via the web. OERC is being developed in partnership with Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) of the California State University system. Leading cancer researchers, organizations, institutes and universities from all over the world contribute educational materials to the OERC web site (http://oerc.merlot.org). INCTR is the lead affiliate organization of OERC.
Training Professionals
INCTR conducts workshops and symposia for doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals in developing countries on a variety of topics. These topics include: selected cancers and their management, supportive care, psychosocial support, palliative care, clinical trials and data management.
