Cooperative Groups

INCTR provides assistance in the establishment of cooperative groups.

The Leukemia Study Group of India

The purpose of this group is to improve the survival rates of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in India through improved understanding of the epidemiology, clinical features, and biological characteristics of the disease and through the conduct of clinical trials. INCTR is working with four major centers in India to organize this effort. The major centers will serve as regional centers for education and training in order to assist peripheral centers and hospitals in the development of infrastructure for participating in and conducting clinical studies in the treatment and characterization of leukemias.

Retinoblastoma Group of Mexico

INCTR has supported the development of this group which is coordinating national early diagnosis and treatment programs in Mexico.

My Child Matters

INCTR serves as a mentor for several projects related to childhood cancer funded by sanofi-aventis and the Office of International Affairs, NCI in conjunction with UICC. These projects are taking place in Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania and the Philippines. INCTR has served on the My Child Matters Steering Committee.
