Global Alliance for the Cure of Children with Cancer (GACCC)

GACCC is a consortium of organizations devoted to improving the survival rates of children with cancer in developing countries.

Cooperative Groups

INCTR provides assistance in the establishment of cooperative groups.

The Leukemia Study Group of India

The purpose of this group is to improve the survival rates of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in India through improved understanding of the epidemiology, clinical features, and biological characteristics of the disease and through the conduct of clinical trials. INCTR is working with four major centers in India to organize this effort. The major centers will serve as regional centers for education and training in order to assist peripheral centers and hospitals in the development of infrastructure for participating in and conducting clinical studies in the treatment and characterization of leukemias.

Retinoblastoma Group of Mexico

INCTR has supported the development of this group which is coordinating national early diagnosis and treatment programs in Mexico. INCTR has attended several meetings of the group.

My Child Matters

INCTR serves as a mentor for four of the projects related to childhood cancer recently funded by Sanofi-Adventis in conjunction with UICC. These projects are taking place in Egypt, Tanzania and the Philippines. INCTR is represented on the My Child Matters Steering Committee.
