Meeting Highlights

INCTR’s 8th Meeting on Cancer in Countries with Limited Resources was held in Turkey. The meeting contained keynote lectures, reports from INCTR programs, educational/scientific sessions, workshops, and “Meet the Expert” sessions. As usual, the meeting began with INCTR Award lectures. INCTR members had the opportunity to present their own work either, as oral presentations or posters, based on submitted abstracts.

The educational/scientific sessions encompassed topics related to specific cancers as well as more general aspects, among them education and research in low resource settings, ethical issues, infectious diseases and cancer, AIDS associated malignancies, cancers in women and children, hematological malignancies and palliative care.
