The INCTR PAX team produced the INCTR Palliative Care Handbook at the request of healthcare professionals providing palliative care in low and middle income countries for a quick and practical reference book.
It is endorsed by the African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), African Palliative Care Association (APCA), British Columbia Cancer Agency, Latin American and Caribbean Society of Medical Oncology, Middle East Cancer Consortium (MECC), Nepal Network for Cancer Treatment and Research, Pallium India, and Victoria Hospice, British Columbia, Canada.
Approximately 2000 copies of this latest edition have been distributed to countries with which PAX is associated, including Nepal, India, Tanzania, Egypt, Pakistan and Brazil, as well as to institutions, groups and individuals in other parts of the world. The handbook has been translated and printed in Turkish and Portuguese. Spanish and French translations are underway.
